The folks on the subscriber services teams (support and RemoteDBA) are wonderful to work with and their skillset is inspiring. It's really wonderful to be working with some of the most knowledgable people in the industry. Sales and Marketing pay attention to the technical side of things and really considers how our customers will utilize our various offerings. This is refreshing as this is not always the case, especially in the technology sector. Overall the culture at MariaDB is welcoming and filled with talent. The distributed global team really works well together despite not all being in the same place or time zone.

MariaDB is a unique startup in a position most other companies would dream of being in. The brand name of MariaDB is known everywhere and is the fastest growing open source database. There is a fast paced environment here at MariaDB where it is nimble enough that if something needs to change you can get a few people into a (virtual) room and talk through it and change if needed - not committee driven! MariaDB is used everywhere in todays changing application and database ecosystem. It is really exciting to be part of a company that is changing the way Banks, Retailers, Cloud Providers, Healthcare, Entertainment companies, etc run and operate their business impacting the lives of millions everyday.
