Pros

The pay is good the benefits are good and the people you work with can be good.

Cons

Leadership is not interested in making the place better for it’s workers, at all. They pay well because of the union representation. The benefits are solid but because tenured employees got away with a strong, free PPO for years… when they had to start paying for it, they complained. Even paying for the PPO is worth it as it’s still a great option. An HMO is offered free for a single worker who is part time or full time.

Physicians are often hostile and disrespectful to nurses when approached for communication/orders.
