Pros

You have benefits, good co-workers (in office) pay check, paid holidays

Cons

Everything is hush hush, to many reports, raises are few and far between. Not always able to move up in the company. Seems they bring in others from outside to take better positions. Since buyout all new employees seem to have better pay scales. Almost impossible to hit bonuses. They wait until the last week when your in growth and do charge offs. And puts branches in the negative so no chance to bonus.

Pros

Competitive pay Excellent bonus potential Excellent opportunity for advancement Growing company Freedom to manage your own branch Great management team, who will go out of their way to help you The company offers lending programs and promotions that many other finance companies no longer offer (mortgage, retail) I came here from another finance company, where for 4 years there had been nothing but downsizing and layoffs. It's great to be working for a company that is going in the other direction: hiring people and actually opening branches at a fairly rapid pace.

Cons

Not really any I can think of, as overall I am very happy here. Branch Managers and above are eligible for (large) semi-annual bonuses, which non-managers aren't eligible for. Company does a decent job of incentivizing non-managers with periodic monthly incentives, which are based off of overall branch performance in certain categories. Company could probably do a better job of incentivizing non-managers with more individualized bonuses/incentives.

Thank you for your review. We are very excited to hear that your transition from another finance company has been positive where we can offer you stability and a great working environment. We also appreciate the feedback you provided about incentivizing non-management employees. We will continue to work with our management teams to identify different incentive strategies for non-managers . If there is anything else that you would like to share please e-mail the HR department.

Very stressful and unrealistic expectations

Pros

Nothing comes to mind! I have been in the finance business for many years and honestly I have never worked for a company as bad as this one. Decent hourly pay but bonus programs are a joke. If you compare the stress and work load against the pay it just isn't worth it.

Cons

Unrealistic goals that make it impossible to meet even the minimum level on their "bonus program"! Very unsatisfied with their arrogant upper management. Not to mention the outrageous deductibles for insurance or a ten year employee still has to accrues sick time and vacation.
