Pros

My team at Mariner is very collaborative and easy to work with. No one is too busy to answer a question or help you with a new task or project. The office is beautiful and I don't feel like I'm stuck at my desk all day. There are lots of different places to work. The company likes to give back to its employees with talks from management about all facets of the company. Mariner is also very good about giving back to the community through charity projects and fundraising.

Cons

If you'd rather have an office to yourself, you probably wouldn't like working here. The floorplan is very open.

Pros

Excellent firm with an excellent culture. Everything my former employers were not. Work is challenging but rewarding. Environment is collegial. Upper management is trusting and empowering. Lots of opportunities to learn and experience new things in the financial services universe.

Cons

Sometimes feel like there is too much autonomy - but would rather have freedom than micromanagement. Environment is full of top performers. Not exactly a con per se, but this is not the place for median players.
