Pros

Great culture. Maritz truly cares about their customers and their employees. With some new innovative products and services being launched this year, Maritz is positioning itself for long-term success. Because it is a privately held company not constrained by some of the short term results required by publicly traded companies.

Cons

Because of the depth and breadth of services provided to customers, it can take awhile for new employees to get up to speed on everything we do. Navigating internally at Maritz is sometimes difficult because it is a highly martixed organization. Maritz is also not immune to the softening of the economy and some clients are reducing budgets on programs.

Pros

People are very nice. 7.5 hour work days. Located in Torrance, which is convenient for someone like me who lives in the South Bay. In terms of work culture, at least for the group that I work with, it is very laid-back, my co-workers love to laugh, tease, have a good time during work hours.

Cons

Difficult to advance 'higher up the ladder.' Benefits could be better, but the 3 weeks of vacation is a nice perk. Pay is not bad, not good, maybe average to a little above average. However, other intangibles (such as a great work culture, nice people, etc.) make up for it.

Pros

Need easy money. Perfect for students who need to the work the evening and weekend shifts. Allow you to get a pay raise if you consistently meet the quota. Tey also give employees a raise if they never take a day off during their work schedule.

Cons

It gets tiring to keep saying the same things agin and again. And there can be a lot of mean and unnecessary responses. If you are not a customer friendly person, do not take this job. You hae to be a people person to thrive here.
