Pros

The people that work there are great including some managers. I think some managers need to work on their managing style. You have the chance to work on a few projects so that is refreshing every now and then. You have the chance to work on behalf of a few great companies so that gives you something to talk about when moving on.

Cons

Scripted role and everything must be said word for word. If not you are continuosly warned. I know a few people who take on too many hours then crash as the job is repetitive so after a while you just want to give up.

Pros

Recognized expertise in the area of customer satisfaction tracking research. A quality pool of quantitative data science professionals well-versed in current and emerging analysis options. Overall Maritz Research has a Midwest sensibility that seems to encourages team work and often rewards loyalty.

Cons

Your work experience is highly dependent on the industry/sector team you are with and the tone set by the senior management of that particular group. One sector might be highly collaborative with contributions rewarded regardless of your level, another sector might be quite the opposite. One sector might have a more friendly informal team culture while another sector might be much more rigid and formal. Maritz has tried with limited success to expand uptake of research offerings beyond customer satisfaction trackers. If you are looking for research experience beyond c-sat you may be happier elsewhere. Like many employers they have steadily required employees to kick in more for health insurance which can impact your take-home pay.

Low pay and can be very demanding

Pros

They can be flexible with hours - you only work 7.5 hour days and you can come in at 7 or 9 and work until 3:30 or 5:30 - it's mostly up to you.

Cons

The pay is pretty low and depending on who your project manager is, they may be demanding of your time. I've put in 50 hour weeks because a project manager planned poorly and put the responsibility on me.
