Pros

- plenty paid sick days - holidays off - flexible with vacation if plenty of notice - broad span of high-profile clients

Cons

- 70+ hrs/week with no paid OT - very stressful, fast-paced, constantly slouched over your computer unable to work any faster and wishing you had 4 hands - very high turnover - slow to hire + low headcount - lack of response from management - "go above and beyond" "we appreciate you"

Pros

No one cares what you do. Lack of clarity/direction.

Cons

Poor leadership. No diversity. First company I've worked at where you can be in the red and still be in existence.

Pros

The people you’re surrounded with at MITS is the only good thing about this job. The people are what make it. When you’re in the trenches with people who understand your pain, you grow close with them.

Cons

MANAGEMENT. Zero idea how to work WITH the psychology of people as opposed to working against it. Very little work life balance, practically no soft benefits, and paid under market value. None of the technology they sell their clients actually works so you find yourself making excuses for why your company isn’t fulfilling their contract with the clients. If you can schmooze with the right guy for long enough, you might score yourself a job in which you’re unqualified, undertrained, and underpaid.

Thank you for providing your perspective. We too believe Maritz’ people are what makes us one of the best places to work in the area! I am truly sorry to hear you were frustrated by your experience, and we never want to hear that our employees don’t think we’re listening to their concerns. We understand your complaints about work/life balance on the Service Desk, and we’ve been working diligently to improve flexibility for those few jobs that require specific and formal scheduling while still ensuring success for our customers. With respect to our client technology, we strive to stay current with ever-changing technology. We’ve invested tens of millions of dollars on refreshing, replacing and/or re-platforming our technology over the past three years, and plan to continue to make improvements in the near future. Thank you for your feedback and alerting us to further opportunities to improve. We want to build a team that’s open to giving and receiving transparent feedback to improve everyone’s personal and professional growth, and I’d be happy to discuss any of your thoughts in more detail by email. – Gerry I., Senior VP of Maritz IT Services
