Pros

Maritz offered two paid weeks of vacation and the time from Christmas through New Year day off. Depending on the manager, flex-time was offered. Working on other teams was pleasant and gave me the opportunity to learn and grow on the program.

Cons

Maritz needs to work on professionalism, respect, honesty, office culture and executive/managment leadership. During my time at Maritz, it was acceptable and encouraged to sacrafice a co-worker for the sake of selfish reasons to move up in the company. The way people were treated by co-workers such as verbal harrassement and being disrespectful during meetings was overlooked by management. People were not willing to speak-up rather not say anything in fear of lossing their job. It was a stressful environment, and the projects would require more than 50 hours a week for those in non-leadership roles and little pay.

Pros

New leader seems to be much better than previous leaders who were driving the company in the ground. Can now wear jeans to work and holiday shutdown is nice.

Cons

My clients are very upset as a lot of research and IT talent were forced to leave our company. My main client said she may not renew our contract because she feels we no longer provide her research and automotive expertise :-/ I appreciate her warning me but this makes me very sad. Culture is very broken and no one trusts anyone. Many of us want to believe the new message but it is difficult when it is partially delivered by the past leader's young buck who no one trusts. We are also very short staffed and have to put in a lot of hours. Offshore IT is causing a ton of problems and further upsetting my clients.

Pros

Good work/life balance. Flexible workplace, not a clock watching company.

Cons

Senior management really out of touch with industry and the workforce.
