Pros

Works with your schedule Room for quick advancement Good pay Great benefits. Six years here now, started from the bottom. Great company, they have been as dedicated to me as I have been to them.

Cons

Work gets slow/ can sit home during slow seasons.

Pros

Flexible schedule, relaxed environment, decent pay. Good working relationships with crew of the boat, and time off is great.

Cons

Galley conditions on some boats are not the greatest, some of the captain's are great guys and some not so much. Sometimes its a long time before you get supplies.
