Pros

Great benefits , they have a pension plan which is not very commonly found in the market.

Cons

I worked in the HR team and from my experience; they are very disorganised and unprofessional. There are no set procedures or processes in place. Even if there are , they are outdated. You are expected to come in and start showing results without given the time to properly understand processes. There is no proper training given . You are expected to learn things on the go and are expected to excel during that process. I personally also witnessed the HR representative make snide and disrespectful comments about employees in the corridors of the office and this kind of behaviour is perfectly acceptable by the HR leadership. There is constant drama, gossip, bullying and overall lack of mutual respect within the HR team members and all this does not matter as long as there are results.

Pros

Brand new truck for work and personal use. Plant managers are understanding and knowledgeable. They only get to their positions by internally promoting; no outside hires for production management. Many established departments to help operations.

Cons

Unpredictable and varying hours; 60+ hours weekly salary. Pay is below market value because the company is well established. Upper management (area manager and above) will protect themselves and cut those below them to save themselves. The "safety card" of the culture is only played when it benefits someone. When executives aren't watching a lot of unsafe behavior occurs.
