Like a startup, but not in a good way
Pros
Great people, genuinely good engineers to work with and socialize with. Good compensation for the area, just not when compared to remote-only positions from SV. Middle management that shields the engineers as much as they can from upper management.
Cons
Product planning is more like a suggestion, all design, requirements, and deadlines are at the whim of the CEO and execs. Constant switching between projects and massively increasing scope in the last minute before a release, even for a product that is already years late to market. This company is the epitome of a corp. that only cares about appeasing investors and that particular quarter's earnings at the expense of future planning. Engineering attrition is high across many teams. Absolutely no work from home allowed (direct from CEO).
