Pros

Im thinking real hard but I got nothing.

Cons

Some genius recently decided to give everyone 10K pay cut by taking away the car allowance. I predict Masimo will have many more job postings in the next few months.

Thank you for taking the time to post your message and sharing your concern. We are sorry that you feel that your experience at Masimo has not been positive. Regarding your comment, currently Masimo offers certain field employees a car allowance of $700/month ($8,400/year), which was recently raised from $500 per month ($6,000/per year). The car allowance is not “pay” but is an “allowance” that is given to our field employees to ensure that they have a reliable, presentable, and insured car to perform their job duties. Masimo will not be discontinuing the car allowance without replacing it with an equivalent or better program to ensure that our field employees have a reliable, presentable, and insured car. Masimo is currently looking at the possibility of offering a company or “fleet” car program to our field personnel that we believe, based on our preliminary analysis, will benefit our employees more than the car allowance and also provides benefits to the company. If Masimo chooses the company car model, the car allowance would be discontinued. But if Masimo determines that the company car model does not make sense for its employees or Masimo, the car allowance will continue.

Pros

Pay Is ok and there are some very bright people working here. 3 weeks vacation to start.

Cons

Very unprofessional and unseasoned management. Lack of planning leads to one instant emergency after another. Problems are ignored until they become a crisis. Employees are coerced into working evenings and weekends... This is not the place to be if you are a women or have a family. Since engineering runs the show, some of the managers in that department appear to be on a power trip and think that yelling is a productive way to communicate. Some of the long time employees have cart blance to be rude and sarcastic. There were stories of one using its influence with the CEO to get someone in another department fired, even though the fired person was well respected by their co workers and supervisor. Overpass compensation package is poor.... No tuition reimbursment, not a lot of paid holidays, 3rd rate 401k. Overall, a very toxic and negative place to be.

Pros

Masimo is dedicated to developing breakthrough technologies that save people's lives. The result is a portfolio of clinically-proven products and services that leads the way in innovation, performance and patient safety. At Masimo I found pioneering and innovative spirit with a wide range of opportunities. Without the exceptional professionals at Masimo, we simply could not fulfill our mission of “Improving Patient Outcomes and reducing Cost of Care”. Team was supportive which made it possible for me to formulate and roll out new service products for 2014. Joe Kiani’s vision and leadership is phenomenal! His unwavering devotion to “patient safety” exemplifies strong moral fiber and character. I am very impressed with Masimo’s HR team led by Tracy Miller in terms of their experience and professional integrity. Masimo is a great place to work at; and its greatness comes from the people within this organization! I wholeheartedly vouch for Masimo. Excellent career advancement opportunities, great work environment and life balance. I'm extremely optimistic about the outlook for Masimo.

Cons

The environment is extremely fast paced better suited for individuals that are driven.
