Pros

working in a industry protected by regulations that is not subject to outsourcing and hence recurring lay-offs. Steady revenue and great market outlook. Their HQ cafeteria offers great food and snack at a reasonable price.

Cons

If you like working in an 1984 environment joint Masimo. This company is overly paranoid and you are constantly under watch. If you don't have knowledge about human physiology you are practically treated like a second class citizen even if you job does not require that. There is a culture of nepotism and favoritism, in order to advance in your career, you have to play politics as "your great performance" is only a subjective issue so be ready to kiss a lot of butts.
