Pros

- You get to keep your commissions from sales even after leaving the company. - Other than quotas, you're free to structure your approach to handling sales.

Cons

- Management is constantly worried about underperformance at an office-wide level, leading to constant pressure. - Less experienced reps are sometimes singled out for underperformance, despite having less time to build a sales pipeline. - Very little opportunity to use other skills, such as portfolio management, market analysis. Solutions are usually just pre-packaged insurance plans.
