Pros

Excellent products. Excellent commission rates. MMLISI is a very good broker-dealer for securities business. MassMutual agents are not captive, so even if you work at a MassMutual office you can still submit business with other companies. (And if you do the business through ASH Brokerage, they even count somewhat towards your sales targets.)

Cons

Training programs are weak for new agents. Products are very high-end and are geared to experienced professionals and the wealthy. If you don't sell you don't get paid.
