Pros

Massachusetts General Hospital is an incredible place to work because you get to collaborate with some of the best minds in the field

Cons

The work life balance is a difficult one to manage. A lot of time is required to be spent at work, hence building up a family is hard.

Pros

MGH provides a very good research environment and good benefit on half of Harvard medical school, including health care, and other benefits.

Cons

For research fellow, it is under paid considering the work load, pressure and future, since it is a transition period and a training process, it is acceptable.

Pros

I love that it's and environment that prmotes continuos leARNING.

Cons

They don't offer short-term disability. So, for people with growing families or temporary ilness/injuries, it may mean not having an income while recouperating or tending to your newborn. I feel It's tragic they are not forward thinking in that respect.
