No longer a hospital

Pros

t-pass discount. General commuter perks other than parking

Cons

MGH is now MGB. The 'hospital' no longer cares for patients or staff. It is conglomerate/corporation. How they are still considered non-profit is beyond me. The salaries are below market for the area. You get boxed into a salary based on your hire rate. New employees frequently make more than more senior staff. After massive layoffs, they are aggressively hiring to fill support staff positions...for smaller salaries There once was a philosophy that we take care of our own. It took me 4 months to get a specialist appt. I didn't get a raise for 3 years (nothing to do with merit). The health insurance/benefits gets worse every year. Promotions are popularity contests
