Pros

-Strong culture team -85% demonstration of one team -Strong relationships with families and students

Cons

-OPs not as strong, reimbursement and additional pay may take extended time - No work life balance. You get paid for 40 hour work weeks but end up working 50+ - Meetings help after work hours that are mandatory - Admin makes up their own rules for their employees at different locations -Definitely not the kind of place I can imagine myself working more than 4 years

Pros

Competitive pay, normal school hours, freedom to design own lessons, supportive social work department. This can be a good opportunity if you vet the school you will be working at within the organization.

Cons

Some students come from severe trauma. While teachers and social work understands this, culture and administration have a continuously changing set of rules and expectations; some they choose to enforce because they feel like it, other severe things get pushed under the rug on a whim. This leaves teachers to deal with occasionally absurd and possibly dangerous behavior that shouldn't ever be in a classroom. When these occur culture does not follow up with student or teacher despite what may have happened.
