Good Philosophy - admin truly wants to provide quality and equality Good intentions Great Kids Good starting job Very structured environment

Cons

Special Education "confused"; too much turnover Too many folks vying to be the boss, some without true special ed teaching experience. Discipline model for school is tough to apply to special education students due to required unrealistic behavior plans

Pros

The kids. The logo and brand of Mastery is really nice to look at. Benefits. There are some very nice people within the organization and there are things to learn from.

Cons

If your a teacher that wants to have creative input - not the place for you. Management is top down. If it's your first year at Mastery your treated like you don't know anything. Mastery takes on a lot of special needs kids without a clear cut strategy on how to alter curriculums for their needs. Kids are included physically but not mentally. The pace of the day is too fast. Also their are constant observations that are unbearable. Burn out is inevitable.
