You need to be in the "in crowd" to move up in this company. If not, you stay where you are at and there are no pay increases without an actual promotion.

Great place to be challenged with technical problems - not so good for career advancement

Pros

Nice time off policy, nice big projects to work on involving large inner connected systems.

Cons

Hard to get a promotion without executive sponsorship. Company does not believe in raises, only promotions. Bonuses tied to mostly unrealistic goals even though the company is doing fantastic.

They do a great job of taking care of their employees. Ended up being laid off due to company changes, but they were very generous about it.

Cons

Communication from the top down was horrid. Everything was on a need to know basis and we didn't need to know.
