Pros

Excellent work life balance. I realized this after I left MathWorks. Little work related stress. There are some smart people around in some teams. Facilities like the gym are excellent. You get your own office. Pretty rare now-a-days. Depending on the team, your work will be exciting. Pay is reasonable.

Cons

Very slow moving company. Very slow growth. Lot of processes for a company of this size. The only way to grow is through the management chain. The EDG program is good for the company and to explore opportunities. However, if you know what you want, it's waste of time for the employee. The only good thing I felt of EDG was networking with people. Pay was not competitive for freshers when I was around. Work quality depends on the team you work for. Not the same everywhere.
