Pros

Great training, good peers to work with, strong company, great benefits.

Cons

Management doesn't seem to understand the difference between salaried employees vs hourly employees. Managers are very difficult to work with.

Pros

Local management is awesome "do what it takes to get the job done safely" , great team environment, no micromanaging

Cons

Pay Grades, Job Levels, (1,2 or 3 or even 4??? no documentation on how to achieve next level. Bonus structure is obscure and not transparent

Pros

There is a lot of commodity between the estimators. I enjoy coming to work as I work with a great bunch of individuals that make every day unique and rewarding. I enjoy the take-off work and complexity of constructability issues, which is different on every project we bid. We are growing our EPC work and it is very rewarding to see you hard work pay off. Matrix does not usually require overtime for the estimating department, not to say that we don’t work overtime. It makes it very nice to have most weekends off.

Cons

The direct management seems to overlook your contribution to the company. Great benefits, pay is below industry.
