Pros

- Ability to learn recruiting fundamentals

Cons

I write this review after, over the years, hearing multiple accounts of unprofessionalism and improper behavior by senior managers and office leaders towards female employees. While the environment during my time there was clique-y, unprofessional, and featured workplace bullying, it would appear that things are even worse behind closed doors to the women who work there. To speak to my own experience directly: managers played favorites, the overall quality of the recruiters was low, and the contractors were never a priority. For those looking to break into recruiting, look elsewhere.

Pros

- Flexibility when dealing with life situations like appointments, needing to leave early, etc. -Immediate coworkers and managers are nice and genuinely care/help you. -Salary & Commission is good, especially considering it is a starting job and pays a guaranteed weekly commission on top of regular weekly salary. -Learn a lot of the ins and outs of recruiting, encouraged to ask questions and will gain knowledge to help you in the future. -Try to make it fun by offering prizes for every start you get, such as free lunch or free starbucks. -Structure of this particular office is not so that recruiters are fighting each other to make money, everyone does help each other since the money is all collective and shared.

Cons

-Lots of incessant and unnecessary micromanagement from the higher management in the office (not regular managers) and the VP of the area. Constant repetition daily and reminders over and over of what to do and achieve. Gets annoying real quick. -On the surface it seems as though you can move up the ladder, but really only happens if management leaves (which they won't) or if you relocate. Even then the requirements to get promoted are not realistic as KPI's are only hit by a handful of employees in the ENTIRE company. -Extremely high turnover rate. In the span of 4 months, 4 recruiters quit. Including one of the top recruiters in the entire company that worked there for 3 years and got passed on promotions time and time again. -Area VP has no concept on how to manage people and their lives, only concerned about hitting numbers and places no value on cultivating relationships. Super unforgiving, expected everyone to be perfect and never make mistakes. -Lots of miscommunication between upper management and recruiters. Multiple expectations placed that contradict each other and often times have to do your tasks by guessing what is right. -Base KPI's are easy to achieve, start KPI's are unrealistic and very few people (Less than 5%) in the company actually reach them. Management does not make it clear when you are held accountable to them, as the training says 1 thing and the Area VP says another. -Scared of employees working remote, almost as though its looked down upon and couldn't be comprehended that in 2020 people are able to work from home and get work done. This led to a terrible response to COVID as they were extremely unprepared.
