Pros

Flexible scheduling, no hourly or specific shift requirements. Like, the most flexible i’ve ever had. If i can’t work, or need a day off, i don’t have to worry about requesting time off; I simply let the office know and I’m set. Of course, it may be different is someone were to take advantage, but I don’t take much time off. I just like having weekends off, which isn’t an issue for Maxim. I never work holidays, evenings, and if i do need time off for an appointment or an emergency, I never have to worry about not being able to take it. And I am happy with my pay. The staff that have been consistent and reliable in the office are great and easy going, but there’s not very many of those

Cons

Unfortunately, the benefits are awful. The insurance is outrageously expensive for poor coverage. Maxim doesn’t offer any contribution to your retirement plan, like similar home care companies do. There’s poor communication between office staff and families and office staff and field staff; as well as frequent staffing changes within the office. There’s too many phone calls for things that could have sufficed with an email, such as calling in the middle of my shift to introduce self as a new employee in the office- i stopped answering my phone for Maxim phone calls because it got way out of hand with useless calls IN THE MIDDLE OF MY SHIFT. I waited for the voicemail, and I called back if it was important.
