      The worst job I have ever had!

      Pros

      About the only thing right about this company is they have decent benefits. Group medical, and paid time off are reasonable.

      Cons

      The managers I has occasion to work with at the project level and from the corporate office are for the most part incompetent and garner no respect from project staff. They rule by fear of loss of your job and constant intimidation. It is a terrible place to work and once this economy picks up they will be hard pressed to maintain any kind of a staff. The incompetent management has turned every manager / supervisor / specialist job over at least once in the past two years. The turnover of the entire staff is so high that most caseworks stay "new". I'm just glad I'm out of there!

      My job at MAXIMUS was good as an entry-level position after college, but I would not recommend it for experienced folks.

      Pros

      They are in a very lucrative market in providing healthcare services for state governments, so there is a lot of job security with MAXIMUS.

      Cons

      MAXIMUS does not encourage innovation or do a decent job providing stimulating work for their empoyees. Their management is stodgy, very old-school, and the culture is 'conventional corporate'. They do not have any clear defined paths for career mobility unfortunately and many people there are generally unhappy working at MAXIMUS.

      Pros

      Coworkers are, for the most part, very friendly and cooperative. The company does offer excellent benefits, in lieu of good salaries.

      Cons

      Nit picking, and incompetent senior project management. All negative persuasion from management, nothing positive as an incentive for the staff. The turnover rate for all levels of staff is astronomical!
