Pros

-Bonuses $$ available for productivity achievements -Teams/training are typically helpful if you have questions -Friendly co-workers -additional trainings offered if needed for complicated details -Clear-set quotas (There were not before the transition of Maximus Takeover of VES and affected previous employees example: Target goal was 80% and now it must be 100% quota which is not feasible to hit all the time for various reasons)

Cons

Not always enough work available depending on the month Long hours (10-12) hour days Still expected to hit quotas even if there is no work available They expect you to work weekends "even if it is just for 1-2 hours" and you will rarely have time off which leads to burnout (I am a workaholic and STILL got burned out) When you do have time off, you come back to lots of work so you are constantly thinking of the work you need to finish on your time off and can't enjoy it Mental health will be in the toilet

Pros

Pros - your immediate supervisors are some of the best people ever. They are incredibly helpful and fight for you. The job used to be extremely flexible, they let you do your work and as long as you were not careless nobody bothered you. Used to be a great job for a worker who is independent. Traveling was extensive.

Cons

This job has gone extremely downhill within the past year. When corona first hit they tried to say we still had to do home visits. Then when we freaked out they kept us home. Now, the micromanaging is extreme. Just 4 months ago we were told we were getting kudos from OLTL for doing the best we have ever done. Now, they are trying to make us do home visits again and are consistently evading questions about safety that are posed to them. They try to prevent employees from discussing with each other workplace issues, safety issues, etc. More and more work is being piled on us, we are being given less time to complete it, and we are expected to make zero errors while processing 3-4 cases a day. We were actually told we were to be written up if we made a typo while typing someone's SSN. all the while our compensation remains unchanged. We went from "doing the best we have ever done" to upper mgmt being extremely punitive and wanting us to account for every single minute of the day. We are also expected to work through lunch and breaks. Our days are scheduled for us without breaks.

Pros

Truly meaningful work "Helping government serve the people." Great, committed, colleagues. Good benefits and perks.

Cons

Despite strongly expressed company values, an emphasis on the corporate bottom line exceeds personnel considerations. The corporate culture reinforces overworked employees, HR protection of management at the cost of employee well-being, unidirectional reviews (no institutionalized employee feedback to management), and similar approaches. The lip service to these things is hollow.
