Pros

Good health coverage and other employee perks

Cons

Extremely unstable company going from substantial layoffs (including 40% of sales force) to hiring within those same markets over the span of just one quarter Inconsistent pricing model that cannot be sustantiated when stacked up against market demands and competition Product releases miss deadlines by 6-12 months at a time if ever delivered Has moved to a micro managing approach in a last ditch attempt to drive sales

Pros

Maxwell Health is an organization that caters to the professional desires and aspirations of an individual who embraces the opportunity to work hard, solve problems and to overall make a major impact within the SAAS and Healthcare/Employee Benefits space. One of the predominant attributes Maxwell has is that there are different avenues employees at Maxwell can take (outside of their current skill set) and are actually encouraged to do so. Maxwell understands that employees can contribute so much more than what is demonstrated on their resume. Promotions occur on a regular basis which is a testament to the value Maxwell has for their employees.

Cons

Relatively speaking, Maxwell is a young company and with youth comes plenty of hurdles to overcome and lessons to be learned. On top of that Maxwell’s cornerstone product to the market is a web-based solution, so that automatically comes with areas that require constant tweaking. With each passing year, Maxwell is becoming more proactive with addressing the shifts in the market, taking client feedback and addressing the most critical needs of its clients.

Still going through some growing pains, but I feel confident they will ultimately come out the other end as a big name in the SMB BenAdmin/HR space.
