Pros

May Mobility does an incredible job of integrating our purpose, our tech, and the culture we build around the experience of our people, our customers, riders, and partners. Our leadership has made strategic decisions about how we grow and what we focus on that has put us in a winning position in our space - solving real world problems with autonomous vehicle tech. We aren't overhiring and laying folks off. We are adding more employee benefits, career growth support, and company events like May Days while others are cutting back. AND we are making news for what we do well every day! Truly a place to be proud to work, make a contribution to more equitable, safe transportation for everyone, and love the people you work with.

Cons

Innovation start-ups, even 'growing ups' are not for everyone. May is fast paced, has a big vision, big goals and is transitioning from all hands wherever they are needed, use the tools that work now to specialization and building the foundations to grow at the right pace. May, as any company does, has a long list of things we are improving but I don't see those as cons. It's exciting with a lot of freedom to make your contribution matter.

Pros

Great culture and people building great AV tech with real world impact on mobility and transit. Novel approach to AV tech and business model make it very scalable and competitive long term - much more efficient both in terms of energy/data needs and capital required to achieve profitability. I think this makes May is a great investment, and they in turn invest in their people and it shows.

Cons

Although they are growing thoughtfully, this is still a startup in many ways. There's is plenty of good work yet to do to build up and refine some processes and infrastructure along the way. Sometimes roles and responsibilities can flex in response to company needs and this ambiguity can be uncomfortable for some (exciting for others). It's not for everyone.

Some of the pro's can also be considered con's in some instances for example the ability to create and build also means there is still some need of creating of various processes and procedures.
