Smart and Healthy - Not So Much
Pros
The benefits at McCarthy are good, especially when you consider being fully-vested in the ESOP after 5 years of employment. The cost of health insurance was comparable to other mid-size companies.
Cons
The people at McCarthy cannot be trusted. They talk about a "smart and healthy" culture but then you find that secrecy and back-stabbing is the norm. Organizational Development could use some work. There are silos and competition among internal departments. They talk of "one company" but really, each region does whatever the they want to do. There are a lot of white men in leadership positions, if that is what you are looking for in a company. If you are an engineer, go for the job. If you want a corporate position, I think there are better places to work with a much better culture.
