Pros

Great benefits at reasonable prices (2010). Co-workers very competent and committed to improving the lives of our members. Very much like work at home!

Cons

Too much trickle-down pressure and stress with unrealistic goals set by "bean counters" without understanding the barriers faced by some of the typical population of members served.

Pros

Flexible scheduling is available. (Compressed work week, no fixed arrival time, etc.) Ability to work from home in some departments.

Cons

McKesson underpays by roughly twenty percent to its competitive markets. McKesson does not promote more qualified individuals, rather, only individuals that have been with the company the longest are promoted. McKesson promotes managers with no understanding of the business. McKesson promotes managers that do not have well developed people management skills. McKesson does not offer competitive health, retirement, or incentive benefits. Yearly raises are fixed at 2-3%, regardless of performance.
