below average pay, direct managers are the only ones who care about employees. To McKesson their employees are just numbers, not actual people. Everything is a lateral move. No reason to want to excel at your job.

There is a lot of room for growth. McKesson posts a lot of open positions. However the company spends more money hiring from the outside instead of within. It takes at least 3 to 6 months for an employee to get comfortable in their role and another 6 months of learning. The company hires from the outside and will have someone very knowledgeable internally train their superior. Why not chose the person who already knows the company and workflow? Recruiters will tell you that you do not have the experience for the new role when in fact most of the time it's about who you know.
