      You can learn something, but go in with your eyes open

      Pros

      An enterprise software product with large and growing installed base. Some interesting technology and some very smart people.

      Cons

      Poor management and a lack of trust. Management talks of empowering staff, but requires then you are constantly aligned with their view of things. Also, when truth and business expediency are in conflict, truth often looses.

      Pros

      The company is very strong and there is a LOT of knowledge to go around. This is a great company to get your feet wet in healthcare as McKesson touches just about everything in the field.

      Cons

      The company is very driven by business needs and has trouble allowing employees to grow out of their current positions. They tend to hire from outside unless they can spare an internal employee to move up into a higher role.

      Great people and a great brand recognition were the differentiation.

      Cons

      Poor strategic vision from the leadership team meant that McKesson did not have a growth strategy when the green field dried up.
