Insurance is expensive and doesn't cover near enough. All though pay is competitive for the region. The pay no longer meets economic conditions for the area. Myrtle Beach is the fastest growing area in the United States, and as such has had a disproportionate inflationary response that has not been recognized by McLeod. Raises are not based on performance evaluations. Everybody gets the same "traditional" 2% raise. Nationally hospitals generally recognize 6 paid holidays. McLeod recognizes 2. It's not a bad place to work, but it's quickly becoming a situation where employees aren't going to be able to live in the community they work.
