Pros

Compensation Work-Life Balance Strong Employee Work Ethic Capable and Competent Coworkers Private company with no Quarterly Mindset

Cons

You will be a cog in their well-oiled machine No room for managing or operating differently than what the status quo dictates Strong Leadership Oversight prevents innovation Status Quo Culture Since you have no room to really differentiate yourself through your work and talents, you end of differentiating yourself through sucking up to management

Pros

The benefits are pretty great. Company paid medical/dental/vision, profit sharing bonus, and a deferred profit sharing trust for retirement 100% company funded. Also 100% tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Everything else. You get vacation but most departments you have to schedule it in November the year prior and almost impossible to switch it. You will be micro managed and eventually fear so much for your job it'll make you question yourself and abilities. I'm getting out while I still can. Take advantage of the tuition reimbursement and then get out. Go to a company that respects you and doesn't villanise you for even a small .01 mistake. Also your supervisors and managers don't know how to do your job but work relentlessly to change processes and procedures to stand out and make a name for themselves. Good luck.
