Pros

The pay exceeds most companies. Free medical, dental, and vision. Company paid pension and 100% tuition reimbursement. Discounts on tickets. Year end bonus

Cons

Spent 5 years to build my career only to leave and come to McMaster Carr and be lied to about the position. It turns out that a Warehouse specialist is just a glorified picker. Yes, I said an order picker. If you didn't graduate from an Ivy League school your pretty much a bottom feeder in their eyes. There is no career growth. Managers and supervisors quit at least every 6 months.

Pros

Great benefits and great people (co-workers).

Cons

Unable to move up unless you came in as a management trainee. People get fired left and right.

Pros

The only reason to work here is for the Bonus and even that didn't make me stay!

Cons

They spend so much time screening and interviewing people who usually have solid work history only to constantly tear them down! The Feedback is ovewhelming and so depressing that one starts to believe they don't how to enter a simple order. The Turnover is shocking to the outside world however, internally it makes perfect sense. They terminate their most LOYAL people after 20+ years of service......they boot them out with a mere your no longer meeting "our" expecatations. THey have amaizing benefits but you can never get time off to use them. Their is no such thing as work life balance. They tell you when, what time and how and either you like or you know where the door is.
