Pros

They often pay under the table, and when it is busy there is a lot of OT and you can make decent money. They often get cool events or concerts.

Cons

The ownership feels like they own their employees or that they're doing the employees a favor by keeping them employed. They just do not treat their employees well and will work you into the ground. Then they will blame you for getting hurt on the job because you're exhausted from working until 3 AM and they asked you to come in at 8AM the next day. Absolutely zero work/life balance. They will call you in constantly because they do not know how to manage their workflow.

The company provides a pretty casual work culture, because they are family run, so it's not overly professional. You'll likely work fashion events You'll occasionally work higher profile gigs

Cons

The company is family run, so competence wasn't the criteria for position appointment. That means you'll be dealing with nepotism and some levels of incompetence that will impact how stressful, annoying, or realistic some of your work experience will be. The fashion events are often underage girls or held in department stores The higher profile gigs are commonly just larger companies outsourcing a need, so your involvement will be minimal
