Has very few female employees and overlooks the ones they have. Women at Mechdyne are the backbone of the company and work in departments that require focus, dedication, integrity and high levels of stress.

Our overall global employee population is actually quite diverse, especially relative to many technology companies. Historically we have noticed that we receive fewer applicants from diverse backgrounds for some of our technical positions, and we are also dedicated to finding ways to improve that. Pros

I love working at Mechdyne because of how great the culture is here. Social events are held regularly to give us time to interact with our team members. My manager provides me with flexibility for my schedule and is understanding when life happens. I have been able to interact with other departments and I am amazed with the level of talent we have here. Mechdyne recently helped our Marshalltown team out after the Derecho by paying us to clean up debris at our houses. How amazing is that!

Cons

Mechdyne expects a lot out of us. Some days are challenging but Mechdyne will provide you with the tools to overcome the obstacles.

Cons

Senior management is stuck in the early '90s. Team members who support sales get little or no raise, so no incentive to stay. Completely US and Iowa focused. So if you live in Iowa this may be a good place for you.
