Pros

Medstar attracts employees that are deeply connected with the mission and vision of the organization. It has a very supportive and collaborative culture. The reputation of the organization is strong with patient-centered clinical expertise and a strong emphasis on professional development. It is recognized for high standards in patient care and social responsibility and the focus on safety is present in every meeting. It is a great place to work for people who feel called to serve others as part of caregiving teams.

Cons

As any healthcare organization, Medstar is challenged by the complexity and volatility of the healthcare system and highly regulatory environments. This, along with other challenges inherent to healthcare professionals make the organization vulnerable to the drawbacks of working in the industry. Having said that, the leaders I have met seem very focused on addressing systemic issues and are very aligned with SPIRIT values.

Pros

Manager has been great and made this transition

Cons

The recruiter was very rude and stated that I could not make more than a person who has a degree and I stated that I been this field for over 25 and been at Johns Hopkins since 2001 and to come to this job and the people are so unprofessional, rude and no compassion nor empathy. I should have known then that this was not a good fit for me, but I needed a job so that's why I took this job then to have to pay for parking because the shuttle did not arrive on time, so I had to pay now for parking .

Pros

Working under great leadership. Working with very supporting and fun team where they share their knowledge and experience. Medstar focus is always Patient first. They not only bring this mind set in Hospital and clinics but also in all the départements.

Cons

So far, I don't find any problem or issue worth mentioning.
