Pros

MedVet's team-centric mindset, professionalism, and dedication to learning and providing the best quality medicine for each pet in their care are the reasons why I cannot imagine a better place to work!

Cons

Like veterinary practices everywhere, there are some shifts that are slightly understaffed which adds to overall stress on the team, especially for the veterinary technical staff.

Pros

MedVet cares about your improvement as an individual. They want you to learn and further your education in whatever direction you want to go with your career. If you are a reliable and hardworking employee this is the perfect space to work. I absolutely love this place truly.

Cons

1. When I was doing my rotation in ER during training the person I was with kept leaving me sitting in the treatment area alone to go smoke. 2. While you do rotate with multiple departments during training, you do miss a lot of training time with your home department which is really scary in a way when they expect you to be ready to go solo in week 5. 3. It is VERY likely that you will be sent home. I have lost a lot of hours being sent home early because we get done for the day. While I love the occasional early day, having everyday be an early day is leading to stress with bills and life outside of work. 4. After we learned appointments through our training it’s almost like our training just stopped.

Pros

Base pay is higher than competitors.

Cons

Corporate needs to incorporate better policies to prevent burn out. The current policies that have been rolled out and are currently being rolled out are losing valuable employees.
