Pros

Very good pay, good benefits, most coworkers are very nice, great if you have no skills as they will teach.

Cons

MedVet has a lot of highly trained people, but due to lack of a degree refuses to use their skills, even when needed. They have the dying vision that a degree equals intelligence and a lack of one equals stupidity. So if you come in able to place catheters, et tubes, etc, but no degree...you will be treated as if you are mentally Incompetent. Some animals have to wait a long time for their IV pump to be started becouse you have to have a degree to push "start". They claim to be under staffed in some departments but refuse to use people properly.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. MedVet is committed to continuing to provide the highest standard of care to all of our patients and ensuring our clients can feel at ease knowing that quality care is our top priority. Each state has its own statute and regulation governing the practice of veterinary medicine and MedVet abides by the laws for each state. Additionally, MedVet cultivates an atmosphere of teamwork, leadership and compassion. We appreciate all of our caregivers and recognize their hard work in various ways, such as our caregiver appreciation program, townhall events and the opportunity to level up in various positions. Furthermore, we offer Continued Education resources and scholarships for any team member that is striving to progress in their educational journey. We encourage any concerned caregiver to reach out to their local HR Partner, Clinical Manager or Hospital Director for further discussion.

Pros

The quality of veterinary care provided to pets is outstanding. The doctors and hourly staff are generally really great to work with. The HR team has good intentions. The benefits offered are really good for the industry.

Cons

In a salary position, there is unlimited on-call requirements. Upper management from the corporate office is not understanding of what the needs in each hospital are. It is difficult to advocate for your hospital team. The expectations for hourly team members results in significant burn out and poor employee retention.
