At Medavie there are decent health benefits, and the company does some good things for the community.
Cons
At Medavie you really are just a number in the way you are treated - you are even given a number to log into your computer with! Salaries are low, raises are typically 2% or lower, the performance review system doesn't reward high performers, there is no support from management with your career path, training is non-existent, middle management seems to make all the decisions instead of relying on their people, and because of that they are too busy to actually manage their people, too much work but they are reducing staff instead of hiring, and finally, the message that was sent to the employees who aren't engaged after our annual engagement survey was, "What is YOUR problem?" - a direct quote from the CEO.
