      Pros

      Smart people, problem solvers, collaborative work environment

      Cons

      The organization as a whole is very disorganized. Everything is done extremely last minute so there are constant fire drills that distract from real goals. There is a re-org and change of focus for the company every few months. The executive team rarely communicates to the rest of the company and can't even get on the same page. There are a couple brilliant minds on that team and a couple that no one has any idea what they do and contribute very little value if any. Very little room for career growth.

      Great place to grow your career

      Pros

      Really big, interesting CS problems to work on. No futzing about with weak tea python/nodejs services you would have at your average CRUD SASS company. You have to use serious tools because the scale is bigtime. Many services have to handle billions of requests/datapoints hourly. Working on these kinds of problems is how you grow as an engineer. The company has comparable scale to FAANG but cant/doesnt pay as well, but they compensate for it by being really chill. No expectation of long hours, no packing stressful amounts of work into sprints. Want to actually use your unlimited PTO? No problem. You have kids and errands? No problem. Very flexible WFH policies. Right now we have summer Friday where every Friday is a half day. Netflix would pay more, but having your life back is priceless.

      Cons

      10 years of techdebt overhang that slows development down significantly and causes reliability issues/firedrills. Management is serious about addressing it, so there is a silver lining, and you may get to rebuild some stuff from scratch, which is nice. That said, I don't think a day goes by without some production incident.

      Pros

      - Such great people. Really high caliber. - Professional but also casual -Built some great friendships there - MM builds the tech (TerminalOne) that many agencies use. - Great Pantry - Great views - They focus a lot on personal growth.

      Cons

      - It's been more than a month since I ended their career accelerator, Marketing Engineering Program, and I am still out of a job. - Many people say trust the process and there is a false sense of security when going through the accelerator. They are trying to help with introductions but not gaining much traction. It is a great company I just am finding it hard to get to the next step.
