If you like; low pay, terrible hours, no chance for advancement and unappreciative management this is the place for you.
Pros
Any job you take after leaving this this rat hole will make you feel like you died and went to heaven. The company most likely won't be around much longer so your time will be short.
Cons
I read an earlier review that said upper management (Senior Publishers) are only interested in their own survival. This really hit the nail on the head. None of these gutless losers have any idea what they are doing. The entire strategy is based on blaming someone else for their incompetence. Unless you are based on the digital side of the business, there are zero resources. In fairness to management team, the company is run by a hedge fund who is trying to squeeze every $ possible out of the place. The few people who work there who still care are overwhelmed and can't do their jobs. The rest have given up long ago and walk around like zombies trying to stay out of the line of fire. CEO could not possibly be less interested in the welfare of employees. From Day 1, he said there would be "bloodshed" referring to layoffs. Hey at least he was honest about that. If his transformation of the company to profitable all digital company is successful he is the greatest visionary in the history of media. If he fails he walks away a wealthy man, leaving a wake of ruined lives and "bloodshed." In other words he has nothing to lose.
