      Pros

      Two 30 minute breaks. Shift differentials can add anywhere from $2 to$3 to your hourly pay. Working weekends adds another $2 to $3 on top of that. You can charge items like lunch in the cafeteria to your badge and it is deducted from your next pay check.

      This department has low pay for its workers. The lowest paid department in the hospital.

      Lots of long time employees dedicated to the success of the hospital.

      Cons

      Due to the area being a boom and bust economy related to the oilfield, every hospital is short staffed. You make better money by leaving and returning than you do if you stay in one place.
