Pros

Thorough training, provided opportunity for new CRAs to enter the field, travel bonus was very rewarding if you were traveling a lot.

Cons

While training is thorough, you are thrown into independent monitoring very quickly. Lots of in the job learning. Starting salary is not great, but after about a year-18 months it does go up quite a bit. Work load is crazy-typically 2-4 onsite days each week. I was gone most days of the week (could be a pro depending on if you like the travel).

Thank you for the feedback. We take great pride in our training program for our CRA team members through our PACE (Professionals Achieving CRA Excellence) program. This is highly valued in our organization and we've received wonderful feedback from sponsors. With our CRAs in particular we reward them not just with base compensation but with an opportunity to earn significant additional compensation tied directly to their travel and performance as well as the opportunity to earn Medpace equity awards very early in their career.

Pros

Didnt have any, None. Avoid this company if possible.

Cons

Upper managment is terrible. Everyone is miserable here. You won't get a bonus. The ceo will take your bonus.

We are saddened by your view of Medpace and taken back by your comments. We are very proud of the leadership team that we have in place. Regarding compensation, we offer the annual opportunity to receive a merit and bonus based on eligibility requirements and performance standards being met. We review our compensation and benefits regularly to ensure that we are competitive within our industry. We encourage you to escalate these concerns to your supervisor and Human Resources Representative

Pros

Good salary compared to other CRO wrt location. Many young employees and activities that does make in person interaction easier. Some managements are really good to work with.

Cons

After a few months, the work gets mundane compared to the requirement of a PhD degree, but that's corporate. Health insurance is bad (high deductible plan), and overall cost more for family compared to single person's insurance. They provide HSA to compensate but still a lot of expense. Only 10 vacation days gets rolled over. If you are interested in family planning, no paternity leave. Maternity leave is 6 weeks at 60% pay once one year tenure is completed. You would become ineligible for bonus for taking maternity leave, which is kind of offensive. Lot of other US corporations are improving this and medpace should follow the same path. Some managements are biased towards their preferred nationality and tends to micromanage, discourage work life balance. Remote and flex hour options are a bit strict and needs prior approval which some mangers takes advantage of and tries to discourage.

We are saddened by your thoughts about the organization. We have a designated team that regularly reviews our compensation and benefits to ensure we are being competitive within our industry. Medpace does offer maternity leave and provides salary continuation coverage through our short term disability policy.  Like most companies within the United States our maternity benefits are limited in duration, but we support our associates and their growing families through all phases of life. We are extremely proud of the diverse culture we promote here at Medpace. Regarding management, we are proud of the leadership we have in our management teams and we encourage employees to speak to their HR Representative should they have any concerns. We recognize we cannot please everyone and we do our best to provide an environment where our employees feel challenged, motivated, valued, and encouraged to advance. We are sorry Medpace was not a fit for you but wish you well in your future endeavors.
