Pros

Meeting Tomorrow has a small company feel. You don’t have to be micromanaged and I always felt empowered to allocate my time as needed among various tasks. Being a smaller company, you can get asked to do any number of things. Though this might have been more applicable pre-Covid when everyone reported daily to the office. Sometimes I’d float between a handful of different departments, filling in as needed. I always found the variety refreshing. They always had fun events 3-4 times a year, plus a very nice holiday party. Again, not sure how accurate this is in a remote environment, but they put effort in to create cohesiveness. The benefits are solid – health, vision, dental coverage, 401K. They also offer a gym membership re-imbursement. They do hire quality people. Many of my former coworkers are now friends.

Cons

You need to be your own advocate for upper management to notice the hard work you do. I had two different managers state “You’re underpaid” and “I didn’t realize you did so much” when they first took over my department. You might have been hired for a certain role, but if it’s no longer needed you can expect to pivot to something else. Whether this aligns with your interests or career objectives is not the company’s top priority. The pay could be better. Goal setting needs work. A goal shouldn’t be to answer more calls. Instead get industry recognized certifications. It’s good for the company to employ people dedicated to bettering themselves within the industry, and aids in an employee’s growth.

Thank you for the review and the recommendation to work here for prospective employees. We really appreciate that our focus on increasing diversity at Meeting Tomorrow stood out because that is one of our top priorities. Happy to hear that you appreciate the benefits and that your coworkers are now your friends - that's the best. We agree that a top priority of ours should be employee growth and in the past year, that's been a major focus for our managers. We've been working on creating development plans for all team members and plan to continue that initiative on a regular basis.

Pros

Friendly people (and they hire to ensure it remains) Responsive to feedback Clear cut pay structure Flexible Pretty transparent

Cons

Some departments have more exposure to management and seem to get higher priority than warehouse employees (when I was there, in 2019)

Appreciate the review! We are there with you regarding giving teams more time to and resources to make changes. This year, we've implemented team goals across the company to help each manager and team member align their responsibilities with the goals of the company. This has made goals clear and has allowed each team the focus needed in order to make change!

Pros

Everyone who works at Meeting Tomorrow believes in helping each other and creating a professional and versed approach to becoming the best in our industry. This makes for a sincere working environment that envelopes our constant stream of building a culture of respect and affection. Meeting Tomorrow is very accomodating with PTO and benefits. The ability to work from home is part of a great work/life balance. Each department manager does an amazing job at helping their teams to excel at what they do best. There is room for advancement within the company for each and every employee to explore.

Cons

Some job responsibilities overlap into different departments or within a department. Sometimes these motions cause doubling up on work or latency with completion. Sometimes the workloads are heavy and can become stressful at times.

Thanks also for your feedback regarding job responsibilities. In supporting events, there can be times where we do have teams that touch the same part of events. We would love to hear more about the impact of this to you and your team if you're interested in sharing more so that we can see what can be avoided or minimized in the future. We can be reached at hr@meetingtomorrow.com if you're open to sharing more!
