Pros

2 days a week are remote. A decent stepping stone job.

Cons

Restructuring/mass firing happens every 5-6 years. The job responsibilities from the firings are absorbed by the 'survivors" throwing off work/life balance and stress levels. Pay for women is far less than for men doing the same job. You will be forced to change departments frequently whether you have learned the job or not. Promotions seem great at first but the change in workload doesn't align with the small bump in compensation.

Pros

Corporate culture was like a family - knew within a month that this would be a great place to retire from. However, the culture changed...

Cons

Culture became very impersonal and not a family like atmosphere.

Pros

They accommodate your schedule. Most of the time.

Cons

Managers treat employees like farm animals. Most hire-on's quit within 3 months. Meijer has ridiculous job goals (Try shelving 70 boxes per hour!). Managers are hypocrites (and dimwits) who blame employees for everything, including their own errors. Bosses can't make a game plan and stick to it---even for one night. The only workers who are ever promoted are boot-licking narcs. Bosses talk to you like you're 5 years old.
