Great...until it's not

Pros

Amazing people. Constantly surrounded by a plethora of talent. I always enjoyed coming and working with my peers.

Cons

All too often, I felt I wasn't valued and the company just wanted a body to fill a seat. You get rewarded for performance right after a meeting where recognition is talked about, then you are forgotten until the next meeting. Pay is always said to be "the best in the area" unless you actually start looking outside and realize it's mediocre at best.

Pros

The people on the teams really work well together. People genuinely want to help one another and the company in general. The benefits for the area are fairly competitive. I feel like everyone is given the opportunity to grow and shine. Lateral and vertical movement in your career is very possible and encouraged in order to help individuals and the company benefit and grow.

Cons

Receiving commensurate raises for internal promotions is not the norm. When promotion raises do occur it is only after a very long (months) and painful process.

O.K. company.

Pros

Good 'starter' company. You can have a lot of responsibilities and then take those to another employer who will pay you more. The company is still a rather young company in terms of average age of 'professional level' employees and the company as a whole.

Cons

Time commitment, recognition of who really does the work, politics. The executive staff has had a 100% turnover within the past 2-3 years. Every new product is approved by the CEO. For a company approaching $1billion in annual sales, they should allow the people hired to make decisions actually make them.
