Pros

-Pretty good insurance plan; much better coverage than my current plan at work -Extra out of the norm benefits like product checks, a gym, valet service, an cafeteria.

Cons

-Honestly, I would take the overall rating and all of the 5 star ratings with a healthy dose of salt. When I worked there the company was well aware of their public issues and tried to "correct" the problems. They aren't above having HR fill out reviews to boost their results to attract candidates. -The pay is very low; in spite of being ranked a top performer and having very specific salary conversations with HR and my manager I never received decent compensation. A "great" raise is considered to be 3% of your current salary. I know many families that are in salaried positions at Melaleuca that are on hardship because they can't pay back their student loans or are on food stamps. Salaries start off as little as 31k; less than a school teacher without the summer vacation. -If you are a designer or event planner you WILL get roped in to working for the Idaho Republican Party at Frank's command (designing fliers, handouts, setting up tables, decorating etc.). It won't be optional, you'll still have your actual work to do on top of this other project, and you will not be able to refuse. Not very ethical, Frank. When these concerns were addressed to him in an anonymous survey he told the entire company, "Get with the times, everyone is involved with politics."

Pros

When I started with Melaleuca my intention was to only stay with the company for 1-2 years to gain workplace experience and then move on. I have been with Melaleuca much longer, and for good reason. Our CEO once said, that Melaleuca is always striving to get better and improve all facets of the business that impact customers and employees. As an employee, I have seen all the efforts initiated to take care of people and enhance lives (in conjunction with Melaleuca’s mission statement….”Enhance the lives of those we touch by helping people reach their goals”). I am proud to work for a company that publicly announces, there will be no lay-offs – job stability! I am proud to work for a company where there is encouragement to promote from within, and have the opportunity to be rewarded for being the best you can be. Melaleuca has all the traditional benefits of most companies (medical, dental, paid vacations & holidays, & 401K participation), but what I love are the benefits that are unique to Melaleuca; a monthly product certificate to use all Melaleuca’s great vitamin supplements, food products, household cleaners, pharmaceuticals, and bath & body products – I get to use them all personally, it helps with the grocery bill, and they’re great products! I love that we get to share in profits with a quarterly profit sharing check. I love that Melaleuca rewards employees with tenure bonuses for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, &30 years – that totals $105,000 just for being employed and in good standing with Melaleuca! I love that Melaleuca celebrates the spring/summer with company picnics and the holidays with a Christmas party… both with lots of gifts and trip giveaways – many of my friends have lost those special events with their companies. I love that Melaleuca goes even above those events and schedules regular special employee appreciation events like on-site cookouts, tailgate parties, catered luncheons, etc. I love that Melaleuca cares about the environment and communities. When catastrophic events occurred like hurricane Katrina, the 2016 Louisiana floods & fires in Gatlinburg, TN; Melaleuca was there with people and products to help. Melaleuca is the “total package”; the grass just doesn’t get any greener…..

Cons

I don’t have any comments – Melaleuca is a great place to work!
