Pros

Working with individuals with intellectual disabilites is a privildege. Seeing the progress they make each and every day is inspiring. Leadership recognizes staff for the hard work they do and values employees' suggestions and ideas. The benefits are great - health insurance, time off benefits, tuition benefits, etc.

Cons

The work itself can be physically demanding, but its worth it.

Pros

There are many programs to choose from, Decent pay, The most current program I am in is the most supported, Good people in management, and some great co-workers who really care about what they do, Benefits are great, kids and adults are fun.

Cons

The attendence policy is unreasonably strict, some other policies are unreasonable for staff, the pay is not always appropriate (ie. people who have been there for years making less than new hires, people working with more aggresive clients in more dangerous situations don't always make more).
